Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) to ensure safe, reliable operation of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while complying with Oregon regulations and company safety standards.

The role requires PLC troubleshooting, reading schematics, and installing/repairing high- and low-voltage circuits.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Oregon electrical license (LME or PJ) or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years repairing automation equipment.
• At least five (5) years as a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and security protocols; avoid equipment hazards per operating instructions.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and report hazards to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to 5S standards.
• Understand industrial electrical systems and comply with the National Electrical Code.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify PLCs independently.
• Read ladder logic diagrams and use multi-meter functions correctly.
• Interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair 480V, 240V, and 120V circuits and motor controls.
• Perform major installations, maintenance, and preventive repairs on equipment.
• Learn and operate new equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with vendors to identify parts and resolve machinery issues.
• Assist maintenance team members with timely repairs and adjustments.
• Use CMMS, Outlook, and Word for documentation.
