Job summary

The Eetdbuyersguide is seeking a skilled electrical maintenance technician for our generation facility in Wisconsin. The role covers electrical, basic control and instrument maintenance, plus basic mechanical tasks to keep the plant running safely and reliably.

You will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and calibrate equipment, read blueprints and diagrams, and document all activities. Experience with high voltage substations is beneficial and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Journey level in the electrical trade.
• Completion of a State Approved Apprenticeship Program.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, basic mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and inspection of equipment and systems.
• Maintains electrical equipment at generation station and high voltage substation.
• Maintains and installs basic plant control systems and related activities.
• Calibrates and assists with required testing of equipment and systems.
• Processes all necessary documentation of work activities.
• Operates and logs data from basic mechanical and electrical devices to support diagnostics.

Job Summary

Performs varied electrical, basic control and instrument and basic mechanical maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facility and high voltage substation to which they are assigned.

What you will do

• Performs the electrical and basic mechanical troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, inspecting and constructing of equipment and systems for the generation facility.


• Performs maintenance of electrical equipment at an electric generating station and high voltage substation.


• Maintains and installs the basic plant control systems and similar activities.


• Maintains, calibrates, assists with required testing of equipment and systems.


• Processes all necessary documentation.


• Operates and/or obtains information from various basic mechanical and electrical devices used to support specific equipment diagnostics or work activities; gathers, interprets and logs data.


• Is proficient in the use of various powered and/or hand tools as job needs dictate.


• Supports safety, plant reliability, productivity, and plant efficiency improvements by participating in various continuous improvement activities.


• Performs various generating plant and shop area housekeeping functions.


• Performs all work according to established procedures and safety practices.


• Performs other duties which are similar, related, or incidental to this position.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
