Qualifications

  • High school or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of specialty or technical training.
  • 1–3 years experience in industrial electrical systems; state license preferred.
  • 1–2 years Mechanic Electrician experience in manufacturing.
  • Good communication and advanced math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
  • Ability to earn Carpenter Co. forklift certification.
  • Flexibility in hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble equipment.
  • Interpret basic machine diagrams and plant layouts.
  • Read drawings and interpret complex diagrams with shop math.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Assist calibration of in-plant electrical equipment.
  • Maintain lighting systems and electrical wiring.
  • Communicate with team and follow instructions from Lead person.
