Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our Raleigh, NC facility. This role offers a 12-hour rotating schedule with day (7A-7P) and night (7P-7A) shifts, and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Starting pay ranges from $38.40 to $45.18 per hour based on experience. The position requires performing preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment, wiring, drives, and instrumentation, with duties extending to installation and calibration as needed.

Qualifications

• Must pass an electrical aptitude test.
• Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
• PLC troubleshooting experience and work with tension controllers are a plus.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building.
• Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Work with AC & DC drives, instrumentation, transducers, and hydraulic/pneumatic controls.
• Understand and follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Conducts preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.
• May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
• Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Limited travel may be required.
