Job summary

Leggett & Platt Salisbury is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support our Carpet Underlay manufacturing operations. You will work on installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on industrial equipment to ensure efficient production.

The role requires at least 2 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing and familiarity with NFPA 79, with a team-focused environment that emphasizes quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding and ability to apply NFPA 79 standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Replace faulty electrical components (relays, switches, motors, sensors) using hand tools.
• Diagnose and repair faulty electronic components.
• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Follow manuals and blueprints to connect power supply wires to machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Adhere to safety requirements when handling chemicals and/or hazardous waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Maintenance Electrician you will have the opportunity to assist in working on projects that will improve current processes in our manufacturing process. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that our facility follows all electrical requirements. The team you will be working with collaborates to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner, and values great workmanship.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Electrician?

• Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components.
• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Follow manuals, schematic diagrams and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment to connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Must be knowledgeable of the safety requirements in the handling of chemicals and/or hazardous waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:
