Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a motivated Maintenance Electrician to repair industrial machinery at our Milwaukee, WI facility. This onsite role involves maintaining CNC machines, presses, coating lines, and welding cells while ensuring high asset reliability and adherence to safety standards.

You will use a CMMS for maintenance planning, read blueprints and schematics, and collaborate with operators to prevent breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate and able to navigate CMMS or similar systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and working with CNC machinery.
• Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Highly motivated with good communication and teamwork.
• Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CNC machines, press brakes, powder coating lines, welding cells, and other equipment.
• Maintain asset reliability to high standards.
• Utilize a CMMS to plan and document maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with equipment and facilities.
• Perform lubrication, filter changes, and preventive maintenance.
• Identify faults and communicate issues to operators; collaborate to prevent failures.
• Follow safe work practices and work with team to minimize downtime.

Title: Maintenance Electrician

Overview: Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking motivated Maintenance Electrician to repair industrial machinery. Core Responsibilities

• Maintenance of various CNC machines, Press Brakes, powder coating lines, welding cells, and other equipment
• Maintaining asset reliability to a high standard
• Utilizing a CMMS for enabling efficient maintenance and repair operations
• Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment and facilities as needed
• Equipment lubrication, filter changes and standard preventative maintenance
• Equipment troubleshooting in machine breakdown situations
• Highlighting any faults or damage to the machine, guarding or tooling
• Working closely with machine operators to identify potential issues prior to failure
• Utilizing safe work practices

Requirements

• Computer literate
• Manufacturing experience
• Able to read blueprints and schematics
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Must pass competency test, and pre-employment physical including drug screen
• 2+ of experience with machine maintenance in a CNC environment
• Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication a plus
• Experience in troubleshooting, dismantling, and repairing a variety of machinery including CNC equipment
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints, schematics, and documentation.
