Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to ensure proper electrical operation of plant equipment across multiple sites. Travel to locations as needed is required to support production and maintenance tasks.

You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems, read schematics, and comply with OSHA standards while supporting process improvements and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical schooling with apprenticeship completed.
• Master Electrician license is required and must be current.
• At least 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical equipment in production areas.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions across sites.

Job Description

The GardenCore Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring proper electrical functioning of plant equipment and machinery and to troubleshoot any electrical malfunctioning and complete appropriate repairs and maintenance in multi-site locations and will need to be willing to travel as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in the production areas
• Prior Allen Bradley experience preferred
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
• Perform mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor
• Prepare maintenance reports for management as directed
• Maintain strict documentation of all plant electrical circuitry
• Provide general lead electrician support
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
• Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other facility personnel
• Replace or repair faulty electrical components of machine
• Calibrate and adjust all electrical/electronic equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications
• Do minor programming and maintenance for programmable logic controller-based equipment
• Maintain proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work
• Order Parts as needed, create purchase orders
• Must be willing to travel as needed, as this position will serve multi-sites, special projects, etc.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or completion of Technical School and Apprenticeship program or equivalent in training, experience and education
• Master Electrician license required
• Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in electrical support functions
• Must have been employed as an electrician or electrician apprentice within the past 18 months
• Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical operations and components
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
• Working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, and National Electrical Code
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 70 pounds
• Requires climbing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and twisting
• Able to use tools and equipment to repair and provide maintenance while standing, crouching, stretching, extending extremities and under extreme work environments

Compensation

• Hourly pay rate of $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
