Qualifications

  • Experience in construction or related electrical fields will be considered.
  • Able to operate hand tools and test equipment.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Hourly Rate: $36/HR - $40/HR

Shift: 4pm - 2:30am, Tuesday - Friday

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

To provide a high standard of electrical maintenance support for Oregon Tool’s Portland Oregon manufacturing plant. Maintain a safe working environment in support of maintenance, production, engineering and the facility teams.

THE DETAILS:

General

  • Troubleshoot & repair manufacturing equipment (AC/DC drives, servo drives, PLCs, RF generators)
  • Perform electrical maintenance under NEC, NFPA, OSHA & Oregon standards
  • Update redlined schematics and maintain documentation
  • Maintain licensure, workspace order, parts/software lists, and learn new tech

Maintenance

  • Design/install control systems, wire panels, debug setups
  • Install/calibrate process devices (temp, counters, weight/speed monitors)
  • Fix lighting/outlets, cable network needs, conduit/wireway for power distribution

Communication & Documentation

  • Read blueprints, troubleshoot complex electrical systems
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, customer focus, continuous learning, teamwork

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Oregon State, “Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant” Electrical License or higher (State law requires yearly classes to maintain electrical licenses)
  • Factory provided training classes in automated manufacturing equipment a plus (i.e. PLC’s, Robotics, Lasers, AC/DC Drives and/or CNC’s)
  • At least 4 years in Industrial Manufacturing Electrical field. Electrical and Electronic Control system trouble-shooting skills in variable frequency drives, PLC’s and/or related areas
  • Control panel requirement evaluation, design and fabrication also a plus
  • Annual class certification to keep up with state mandated continual education requirements
  • Experience in construction or related electrical fields will be considered as an alternative
  • Able to operate hand tools (power tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)
  • Utilize test equipment (digital multi-meter, amp meter, etc.)
  • Able to operate high lift equipment and forklift

Availability:

  • Must be available for all of the following shifts (rotating shift schedule):
  • Day shift: 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (M – Th or T – F)
  • Swing shift: 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (M – Th or T – F)
  • Graveyard shift: Midnight to 7:30 a.m. (M – F)
