Scope of the Position

Maintenance Controls/Electrician performs repairs and troubleshooting on controls, lasers, servos, photo eyes, and all sensors. Compensation is $35.50 plus shift premium and overtime over 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting injection molding machines, stamping, and assembly presses
• Fixing issues with proximity switches, photo eyes, sensors, lasers, servos, and all press-side equipment
• Working on Engel and Schuler presses
• Reading and interpreting diagrams and schematic drawings; creating sketches if necessary
• Testing equipment after adjustments, repairs, or part replacements
• Setting up and using machine tools to produce or modify components
• Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on utilities, services, buildings, and machinery
• Carrying out repairs or modifications to buildings and structures as needed

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens controls
• Experience with plastic injection molding or stamping machinery is a plus
• 3-5 years’ experience with controls-based equipment
• Electrical expertise
• Good knowledge of PLC controls
• Proximity switches, troubleshooting, servos, lasers, photo eye sensors, and automated equipment experience
• Welding certification is a plus
• This position involves afternoon or midnight shifts and overtime
