Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Fayetteville, AR is seeking an Automation Tech 6 to join our Prepared Foods Division. The role requires hands-on engineering with welding, blueprints, gauges and micrometers, and reverse engineering small parts.

You will read drawings, cut, mill, bore, and work with metal and plastic while complying with safety and quality standards. AAS in Electronics Technology and 2+ years automation experience are preferred; SAP Maintenance proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: AS in Electronics Technology or closely related technical field; combined education/experience acceptable.
• Experience: 2+ years in related field; industrial maintenance or automation preferred; some electrical/mechanical experience required.
• Computer skills: general computing; proficient in document organization and research; SAP Maintenance proficiency preferred.

SUMMARY : This position requires proficiency in the following areas; reverse engineer small parts as needed; weld (TIG and MIG); read and interpret blueprints; read and interpret various measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers; cut, square, mill, tape and bore; work with all types of metal and plastic.

REQUIREMENTS :
Education : Training beyond high school including either an Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trades programs or military training.
Experience : 2+ years of experience in a related field; industrial maintenance or automation experience preferred; some experience in electrical and mechanical required.
Computer Skills : Standard computer skills; must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques. Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance.
Communication Skills : Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all team members.
Supervisory: NA
Travel : As needed.

Must reside in the United States to be considered.

Working hours: Sunday thru Tuesday 4:45pm-5:00am and Wednesday 4:45pm-11:00pm
