Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of 120V/208V, 277V, and 480V systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues.
• Perform welding and basic fabrication for equipment repair and plant maintenance.
• Troubleshoot VFDs and PLCs when required.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (1st Shift) with strong industrial maintenance experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and troubleshooting, with the ability to work safely and effectively in a heavy manufacturing environment. Experience in steel processing is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance: Work on, troubleshoot, and install 120V/208V, 277V, and 480V electrical systems. Utilize a multi-volt meter for testing and diagnostics.
• Mechanical & Fluid Power Systems: Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Blueprints & Schematics: Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to diagnose issues and perform maintenance.
• Fabrication & Repairs: Perform welding and basic fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair and plant maintenance.
• Advanced Diagnostics (Preferred): Troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience: Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
• Electrical Skills: Proven experience and comfort working with up to 480V systems and using multi-volt meters.
• Tools: Must provide your own set of basic maintenance hand tools and a toolbox.
• Technical Proficiency: Must be computer literate.
• Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Experience in steel processing operations.
• Advanced Controls: Experience troubleshooting VFDs and PLCs.
