Job summary

Avient Protective Materials in Greenville, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic E/I to sustain production equipment, perform repairs, calibrations and preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime while upholding safety, environmental, and company standards.

You will follow safety rules, participate in required trainings, document conditions and actions, and ensure proper handling of hazardous wastes in accordance with DynPRO SHE procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to read instructions, sketches, plans and diagrams.
• Familiarity with hazardous waste handling and related safety training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment from written instructions, sketches, plans, diagrams, or oral descriptions.
• Troubleshoot operational problems from field devices to DCS I/O to minimize downtime.
• Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests or inspections as required by company policies.
• Maintain and update records/logs of work performed on production equipment.
• Comply with departmental work instructions, safety guidelines and regulations.
• Assist with training of other employees and maintain skills through training programs.
• Maintain and repair equipment related to Dyneema production facilities.
