Job Summary
The Maintenance Dispatcher is responsible for assisting internal and external business partners by answering calls, creating work orders, and coordinating repairs for the maintenance department. Other responsibilities include controlling key distribution to contractors and staff, dispatching maintenance personnel during emergencies, helping prepare Everbridge communication messages, distributing work permits, red tag impairments, coordinating MNAA's fire system operations, facility inspections, and assisting with other projects as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
- Distribute hot work permits and red tag impairments and coordinate fire system operations with contractors and maintenance teams as required.
- Answer emergency calls and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Respond to phone calls, record information, and create work order requests.
- Coordinate and control maintenance functions and service to call-in requests to assure prompt response.
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics of work orders as determined by the supervisor.
- Enter assets in the work order system as new are acquired or taken out of service.
- Control distribution of building keys to contractors and staff, and report keys not returned in a timely manner.
- Notify proper authorities regarding fire system impairments.
- Coordinate authorization to get the escalator back in service.
- Routinely develop, track and update escalators & elevators up/down times including contractor response times.
- Remind contractors of safety and security requirements.
- Dispatch maintenance personnel during emergencies.
- Adjust the fire alarm system so that false alarms are not enunciated and distribute the proper job tag for on-site notification.
- Inspect airport facilities and create work orders to correct deficiencies.
- Perform follow‑up with maintenance personnel and requesters.
- Establish working relationships and rapport with customers.

Qualifications
Required:
- H.S. Diploma
- One (1) year of customer service experience
- Driver's license
- Secure ramp driving certification (within 90 days of hire)
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in business or a related field of study
- 2–4 years of dispatch, radio communication, customer service, or related experience.
