The role requires supervisory maintenance experience, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to interpret blueprints and codes.

Responsibilities include planning preventive maintenance, supervising contractors, and responding to emergencies, with a focus on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Must be licensed per current standards, codes, and labor laws.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Able to interact tactfully with staff, residents, and the public.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices and safety regulations in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Meet the facility's maintenance needs.
• Identify hazards and maintain a safe environment per policy.
• Repair, replace, and purchase items per procedures.
• Plan and document preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain weather protection for building and grounds.
• Supervise outside contractors.
• Serve on-call for emergencies and off-hours.
• Maintain upkeep of exterior areas in all weather.
• Demonstrate proper safety techniques per policy.
