Chandler Creek Post Acute in Greer, SC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance team, ensure safety, compliance, and reliable facility operations. This role oversees daily tasks, budgets, and preventive maintenance while supporting resident care.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare maintenance, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with nursing, dietary, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and oversee all maintenance department operations.
• Develop and maintain maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate maintenance services with nursing, dietary, activities, housekeeping, and other departments.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure department goals are met.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor facility conditions and staff performance.
• Inspect storage rooms, utility areas, equipment, and facility systems regularly.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and repair schedules.
• Ensure outside vendors and contractors complete work according to contracts and work orders.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans for identified deficiencies.
• Oversee fire safety, life safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, infection control practices, and safety regulations.
• Maintain MSDS/SDS documentation and hazardous chemical storage.
• Train department staff on safety procedures and proper equipment use.
• Monitor department expenses and assist with budgeting and cost control.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and departmental reports.
• Ensure medical waste and hazardous materials are handled and disposed of properly.
• Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate maintenance support as needed.
• Protect the confidentiality of resident information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
