Job summary

Chandler Creek Post Acute in Greer, SC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM). The role supports day-to-day maintenance to keep the facility safe, clean, and welcoming for residents and staff.

Compensation ranges from $18–$20 per hour with full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate has general maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare, and strong communication skills to coordinate with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• General 'jack-of-all-trades' maintenance experience required.
• Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Compassion and respect for the elderly and medically fragile population.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
• Ensure facility equipment and systems are functioning properly.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment in accordance with regulations.
• Assist with groundskeeping and facility upkeep as needed.
