Irondale Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance team, ensuring safe, reliable facilities for patient care. You will oversee technicians, coordinate with vendors, and maintain life-safety systems and equipment within budget.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, adherence to codes and safety standards, and proactive facility management to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 2 years' supervisory experience in maintenance/plant setting.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and manage maintenance team; enforce safety regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; ensure insurance and licenses are current.
• Conduct regular inspections of Life Safety Systems (fire extinguishers, sprinklers, alarms).
• Maintain inventory control for general supplies and equipment.
• Manage department budget and track inventory usage.
• Understand and implement safety and disaster plans for the department.
