Job summary

Arbors at Mifflin is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance department and ensure the reliable operation of physical plant and environmental systems. This role oversees repairs, preventive maintenance, budgeting, and grounds upkeep for a large Ohio facility.

The ideal candidate has five years in building maintenance and at least one year in supervision, with strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical/trade school.
• Five years’ experience in building maintenance.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance schedules and budgets.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Schedules repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
• Directs maintenance on utility systems to ensure continuous heat, power, gas, or air.
• Develops preventive maintenance programs.
• Prepares department budget and monitors expenditures.
• Recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs with design engineers.
• Directs the effort to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.
• Participates in facility “Performance Improvement Program.”
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
