Job summary

Marquis Health Consulting Services is seeking a Director of Maintenance in Rhode Island. This full-time role oversees all maintenance operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and proper function of facility systems, including HVAC and essential utilities.

Strong leadership and healthcare facility experience are required. The ideal candidate will manage preventative programs, coordinate staff and vendors, read blueprints, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a maintenance role.
• Nursing home or healthcare facility experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
• Must be licensed or certified per state and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations to keep facility safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, repairs, and facility systems for uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
• Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors for timely, high‑quality work.
• Maintain and monitor boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
• Interpret blueprints and system documentation to support maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.
