Job summary

Empire Care Centers in Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the daily and preventive maintenance program within our facility. You will work hands-on managing inspections, repairs, and upkeep of interior and exterior areas while supervising maintenance staff.

The role requires on-call flexibility, teamwork, and 1–2 years of related experience; SNF experience preferred. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call rotation.
• SNF experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support maintenance staff to ensure timely, competent service.
• Complete daily facility inspections and coordinate repairs.
• Recommend repairs or replacements for interior and exterior areas.
• Monitor and adhere to maintenance budgets.
• Oversee mechanical equipment maintenance (water heaters, HVAC, kitchen equipment, etc.).
• Perform and supervise installations, carpentry, plumbing, painting, roofing and related tasks.
• Control maintenance storage and equipment rooms.

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Director manages the Facility's Daily and Preventive Maintenance Program by working hands-on within the Facility, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of interior/exterior areas. The Maintenance Director Supervises and supports the maintenance staff and ensures they provide efficient, timely, and competent maintenance service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Director:

• Supervise and support the maintenance staff and ensure they provide efficient, timely, and competent maintenance service.
• Complete daily facility inspections.
• Recommend the repair or replacement of any interior and/or exterior
• Understand and adhere to Maintenance budgets.
• Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all mechanical equipment in the facility, including but not limited to water heaters, HVAC units, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Perform and/or supervise various maintenance functions such as installations, carpentry, furnace and air conditioner repairs, filter changing, coil cleaning, plumbing and appliance repairs, drywall and painting repairs, vinyl installation and repairs, minor roof repairs, etc.
• Control Maintenance storage and mechanical rooms.

Requirements of the Maintenance Director:

• Must be able to work flexible hours and be on an on-call rotation
