Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety codes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of district facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep.
  • Supervise and coordinate custodial, grounds, maintenance, and transportation staff.
  • Manage and maintain the district’s bus fleet, vehicle inspections, routes, and driver scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety codes, state regulations, and district policies related to facilities and transportation.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and safety checks.
  • Support district safety and security initiatives, including emergency preparedness and transportation safety.
  • Work collaboratively with administrators and staff to respond to facility and transportation needs in a timely and professional manner.

Woodson ISD is seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual to serve as Director of Maintenance & Transportation. This position plays a critical role in keeping our district’s facilities, grounds, and transportation operations safe, efficient, and ready to support student success.
