Job summary

The Maintenance Director will oversee grounds and buildings, ensure safety compliance, prepare units for move-in, and train staff on equipment use, with a focus on reliable service and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, exterior areas, including lawn care and trash removal.
• Maintain interior spaces, offices, and common areas.
• Oversee repair of community equipment and train staff on its use.
• Prepare apartments for move-in and refurbishing after move-out.
• Maintain fire safety and emergency records, inspections required by state.

Maintenance Director Responsibilities Include

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.
