Job summary

Majestic Care Commons at Perrysburg is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance department and ensure the reliable operation of building and environmental systems. You will lead preventive maintenance, manage the budget, and coordinate with vendors to keep grounds and facilities in excellent condition.

The role requires hands-on leadership, at least three years in building maintenance with supervisory experience, and proficiency with computers and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Three years of building maintenance experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Ability to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Schedule repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Daily follow up of the TELS system for building management and tracking of Life Safety and maintenance services/repairs.
• Direct and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and ensure all preventive maintenance requirements are met in a timely manner; and within compliance of state/federal and manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget.
• Recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
• Direct the effort to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.
• Must demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times

Position Overview:

• Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred, but not required.

• Ability to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications
