Job summary

Sonida Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director at Laurelhurst/Laurelwoods in Columbus, NC. This role oversees building and grounds maintenance, safety compliance, and staff training to ensure a high-quality living environment for residents.

You will manage repairs, coordinate preventive maintenance, and uphold state regulations while partnering with the community team to deliver dependable service and exceptional safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with minor repairs across building systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and hazard reduction.
• Ability to train staff on equipment use and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.
