Job summary

Laurelhurst/Laurelwoods, a Sonida Senior Living community in Columbus, NC, seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee grounds, building systems, and safety compliance. You will ensure preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, manage move-in refurbishments, and uphold state requirements while supporting a safe, comfortable living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.
