Job summary

AA Healthcare Management is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee a wide range of maintenance duties ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will lead maintenance operations, plan preventive maintenance, supervise a team, and manage contractor bids to control costs while maintaining high service standards across the facility in Milwaukee.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent education as described in the qualifications.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• At least two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and equipment to determine service needs and required equipment.
• Assign workers to maintenance, repair, or renovation tasks and obtain bids from outside contractors.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedule to control costs.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records.
• Purchase building and maintenance supplies, machinery, equipment, and furniture.
• Obtain, review and evaluate bids from outside contractors as needed.
• Prepare evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Perform all maintenance functions inside and outside the facility.

Maintenance Director Job Qualifications:

• Technical degree from a two-year college or vocational school; or three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and heating/air conditioning mechanical equipment and systems.
• Two years supervisory experience
