Job summary

Lemont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility.

Responsibilities include staff recruitment, scheduling, and managing supplies, while staying on-call for emergencies and leading life-safety inspections to protect residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; business and personnel management training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, heating, and air-conditioning (licensure or certification a plus).
• Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH regulations related to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire personnel to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Oversee staff scheduling to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
• Supervise the purchasing, storage, and distribution of housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies.
• Conduct and oversee fire, disaster, and evacuation drills for all shifts.
• Be on-call 24/7 to handle facility emergencies and urgent repairs.
• Schedule and oversee life safety inspections, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and generators.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of housekeeping, laundry, dietary, HVAC, and facility equipment.

Maintenance Director

We are seeking a dedicated maintenance director to oversee the planning, organization, staffing, and coordination of the maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments. This role ensures that the facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained while guaranteeing laundry services for both resident clothing and facility linens.

Requirements
