MaintenanceDirector/Manager /Supervisor

An integral part of our leadership and careteam, the Maintenance Director/Manager will keep the building(s), equipment,and utilities in good working order and facility grounds properly maintained toensure a safe environment optimal for quality patient care. This role is a great combination of both hands-on tasks and department management

Essential Job Functions

• Possess an understanding of OSHA and Safety regulations.
• One (1) year supervisory and management experience which may include recruiting staff, coaching, performance management, responsibility of daily department operations.
• Performrepairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies.
• Orderand requisition supplies and equipment as needed within budgetaryguidelines.
• Testemergency generator weekly and monthly as required by State and Federalregulations.
• Knowand follow established safety rules and policies and procedures of themaintenance department.
• Cooperatewith and support other department supervisors and employees.
• Maintainthe building in compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes and laws.
• Leadand attend monthly in-service education programs in order to meet facilityeducational hour requirements.
• Providecoaching, mentoring, and performance management to your staff.
• Interview,and make recommendations for hiring decisions of maintenance staff.
• Providetraining and orientation to new staff – within and outside the maintenancedepartment.
• Attenddepartment supervisor meetings and participate on required committees.
• Managebudgets and supplies, and fulfill department supervisor responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Practicalknowledge of day-to-day maintenance and facility physical plant upkeep
• Experiencein HVAC, electrical, and plumbing preferred
• Leadstaff and/or provide strong leadership within the facility
• Organizedand detailed
• Integratewell with other department leaders, partnering to ensure the highest levelof care is delivered
• Genuinecaring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursingfacility
• Highschool diploma
