Burnsville Carefree Living is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Director/Supervisor to oversee maintenance for a 95-unit assisted living community in Burnsville, MN. The role covers preventative maintenance, repairs, and supervising staff to ensure safety and efficiency.

The position is days, Monday to Friday, with on-call as needed. A two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Plan, organize, prioritize and follow through on work activities with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate reliable, positive work habits and willingness to take on new tasks.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with management, staff, residents and families.
• Candidates will undergo a criminal background study and must meet mental and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to keep the facility safe.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Keep yard and parking area clean; sweep sidewalks and manage snow/ice removal.
• Paint and adjust building systems as needed; repair equipment and fixtures.
• Ensure operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Supervise and lead Maintenance staff; provide tools and equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Position is full-time days, Monday - Friday, on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance tasks to maintain the facility in a safe condition.

• Preventative maintenance
• General repairs
• Ensure yard and parking area is clean at all times, keep sidewalk swept in summer and free of snow and ice in winter.
• Painting and adjustments to building systems.
• Equipment and fixture repairs
• Garbage removal
• Operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Personal safety within the 95 unit building and grounds of the facility.
• This role will provide supervision and leadership for the Maintenance staff to ensure that they have the proper tools and equipment necessary to complete the essential functions of their job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities to meet timelines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Display positive work habits and willingness to accept new tasks as needed.
• Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships with management, staff, residents and residents' family.
• Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study and must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements of the position.
