Position Overview:

As the Maintenance Director, you'll supervise the daily activities of the Maintenance Department in compliance with Federal, State, and local standards, ensuring our facility is safe and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily maintenance functions and coordinate services with Nursing Services
• Assist in scheduling work assignments and preparing work schedules
• Perform administrative tasks, including completing forms, reports, and accident/incident documentation
• Implement recommendations from the Infection Control and Safety Committees
• Train and orient new maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
• Evaluate and provide feedback on the performance of assigned personnel
• Ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed
• Maintain and recommend necessary equipment and supplies

Requirements:

• Minimum of a 10th-grade education (technical school graduate preferred)
• At least six months of experience in a maintenance department within a health-related facility
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to accept constructive criticism
• Tactful and effective communication with personnel, residents, families, and the public
• Leadership skills and the ability to supervise non-professional personnel
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
• Physical ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and handle equipment and supplies

Working Conditions:

• Work throughout the facility, including power rooms, resident rooms, therapy rooms, and dietary areas
• Subject to frequent interruptions and potential rescheduling of activities
• Exposure to various conditions, including dust, disinfectants, infectious waste, and adverse weather
