Maintenance Custodian Associate – Sam's Club, Salt Lake City, UT

Base Pay Range

$17.00/hr – $24.00/hr

Join Sam’s Club as a Maintenance Custodian Associate and be part of a team that creates a welcoming environment for our members. Your role involves maintaining a clean parking lot, restrooms, floors, and ensuring members leave with a positive impression.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for members and associates by performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and responding to spills.
• Operate floor scrubbers, mop and sweep floors, and dispose of trash and cardboard according to the Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Follow safety protocols, including proper forklift spotting and hazardous material handling, and report unsafe situations to management.
• Keep chemical supplies stocked, stored properly, and ordered when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting members and ensuring a positive first and last impression.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Comfortable working on your feet for an entire shift and in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing work scenarios and maintain a positive attitude.
• Basic team‑work skills and a focus on member satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or maintenance roles.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Valid forklift or heavy equipment license (if applicable).
