Maintenance Custodian Associate – Sam’s Club
Join us as a Maintenance Custodian Associate at Sam’s Club and help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. As a Maintenance Associate, you will be on your feet, ready to respond to spill clean‑ups, perform floor scrubbing, keep the parking lot well maintained, and support members with a positive first and last impression.
Base Pay Range
$17.00/hr – $24.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean facility by performing general maintenance, sweeping, cleaning floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles.
- Respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash per the Environmental Sustainability Program.
- Follow all safety standards and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps, using forklift spotting procedures, and handling hazardous materials responsibly.
- Use approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and place orders when supplies are low.
- Maintain a positive attitude and excellent customer service, ensuring members and associates receive a great first and last impression.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong work ethic and pride in workplace cleanliness.
- Ability to work an entire shift on your feet in a physically demanding environment.
- Comfortable with change and quick adaptation to different work scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proactive, fast‑paced worker who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Previous experience in a sanitation, maintenance, or custodial role is a plus.
