Job summary

GreenScapes Landscape Company is seeking a dependable landscape crew member to perform maintenance tasks and assist with installation of hardscapes and softscapes in Central Ohio. You will work under the Foreman to meet quality standards and ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment.

Required HS diploma or GED and valid driver's license; prior landscape experience is preferred. The role involves physical work, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies at residential and commercial sites.

Qualifications

• A minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Previous landscape experience preferred.
• Previous experience with commercial grade landscape equipment preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of hardscapes and softscapes as directed by Foreman and maintain quality standards.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, irrigation, edging, and pruning.
• Load/unload trucks and trailers.
• Snow removal.
• Proficient use of basic power equipment and hand tools.
• Work with other crew members as a team and follow directions.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES

To assist with the installation of hardscapes and softscapes that exceed the quality standards established by GreenScapes, and to expertly complete the job as directed by the Foreman.

• Perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance functions related to but not limited to mowing, trimming, irrigation, edging, and pruning.
• Loading/unloading of trucks and trailers.
• Snow removal.
• Be proficient in the use of basic power equipment: hedge trimmers, mowers, and leaf blowers.
• Be proficient in the use of basic hand tools: leaf rake, broom, hoe, shovel, cultivator, hand pruners, and hedge shears.
• Work with other crew members as a team.
• Ability to take and follow direction.

ESSENTIAL JOB STANDARDS

• Report any problems or potential problems to your supervisor immediately.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures regarding the safe operation of equipment and tools. Do not operate any equipment that you are not authorized or trained to operate.
• Report any equipment damage or repair requests to your supervisor.
• Report to work on time.
