Job Description: Maintenance Craftsman at NRG Park, Houston, TX

ASM Global is seeking a Maintenance Craftsman to join our team at NRG Park, a premier facility in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning of the facility during events, including skilled and semi-skilled work that may require heavy lifting and physical exertion. The role also involves acting as a liaison between the facility and clients to meet their requirements and adhere to facility policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform repairs and maintenance such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tiles, and plumbing repairs.
2. Prepare surfaces for painting and refinishing, including cleaning, sanding, and patching.
3. Operate and maintain painting equipment.
4. Interpret and apply building codes and regulations.
5. Follow preventive maintenance and energy management programs.
6. Label and store equipment safely.
7. Log work performed and complete reports promptly.
8. Promote safety and follow emergency procedures.
9. Operate equipment like trucks, forklifts, and lifts.
10. Work in areas with fumes or chemicals and at heights using safety equipment.
11. Develop repair and improvement lists.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must perform duties satisfactorily, with knowledge in painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and shop math. Ability to interpret drawings, work from instructions, and follow safety policies is essential. Must be reliable, work under pressure, and maintain good relationships with stakeholders. Ability to organize and prioritize work, work long hours, and communicate effectively is required.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED, with 1-3 months related experience or equivalent education and experience.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible and able to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 75 lbs, and work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Other Requirements

Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.

Physical Demands
