Job summary

Solera Senior Living in Denver seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to support the Maintenance Director in day-to-day operations, upkeep, and repair of the community’s physical plant and grounds. The role also assists housekeeping to keep the community safe, clean, and tour-ready.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance and housekeeping with other departments, prioritizing urgent repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and EPA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of maintenance, building operations, or housekeeping experience.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and common repairs (electrical, plumbing, structural).
• Ability to perform basic math and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Clear oral and written communication skills; able to work with residents, families, co-workers, and vendors.
• Physically able to perform manual labor, stay mobile, and meet health requirements.
• Compassionate, respectful, and committed to serving older adults.
• Able to work both indoors in a climate-controlled environment and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping services with other departments.
• Complete assigned repairs in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Keep maintenance and storage areas clean, organized, and secure.
• Display professionalism, tact, and teamwork when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers.
• Inspect and assist with HVAC, elevators, fire equipment, sprinklers, generators, and other systems.
• Drive and maintain the community van as needed.
• Support engagement activities by ensuring event spaces and equipment are ready for use.
• Log maintenance requests and document work completed.
