What You Will Do:

Provide technical/administrative support to the Mechanical Trades Support Group directly handling a unique supply chain to include materials and distribution, procurement and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) oversight.

• Under minimal supervision perform varied and complex procurement activities
• Maintain and replenish all maintenance stockroom and VMI supplies
• Coordinate workflow and procurement requirements with off-shift employees
• Work with engineers to review drawings to obtain information regarding procurement
• Communicate delivery changes to suppliers
• Communicate orders to suppliers and prepare purchase orders and purchase requisitions
• Assist with reviewing and preparing monthly reports and audits.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Mechanical, Electrical, and Tool & Die procurement knowledge
• Experience with vendor relationships
• Knowledge and proficiency utilizing CMMS databases, procurement platforms, and scheduling tools

• Must have a strong attendance record
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift
• Must have good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

The salary range for this role is $30.50 per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
