# Maintenance Coordinator & CMMS CoordinatorHot JobChamberlain - MERIDEN, CT 06451## DescriptionFirst Shift $25 - $34 per hour***Summary:*** Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities within the company. Primary goal is to ensure all facilities and equipment are well-maintained to support efficient operations.***Essential Job Functions*****:**Planning:* Manage MaintainX software including tracking, assigning, and closing out workorders to ensure accurate records for audits and compliance.* Implement maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities* Work with external vendors and contractors to procure services, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance activities keeping best pricing and cost savings in mind.* Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.* Reviewing the complete area backlog weekly with the Maintenance supervisors to update priorities* Ensure clear communication across the organization as it relates to maintenance activities* Review checklists for equipment, facilities and systems (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).* Work with management in order to keep periodic service contracts up to date.* This line of work has plant shut downs for maintenance, upgrades, repairs throughout the year that requires diligence in planning.Coordination:* Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and other relevant parties to ensure timely maintenance activities and manufacturing reliability* Oversee shipping and receiving of maintenance parts, ensuring accuracy and tracking.* Conduct the daily Maintenance Coordination meetings and ensuring the agenda is followed* Purge the backlog of unnecessary completed work and develop a work schedule for the following week* Assign routine PMs to appropriate team member as they come due.* Create common touchpoints with contractors so they know what work is upcomingRecord Keeping: * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders, inventory of spare parts, and equipment.* Document basic procedures for core systems (Boilers, Hot Water, Air, Ammonia, etc) & service cadences* Determine streamlined portfolio of suppliers for parts* Responsible for all contractors on site, including sign ins, GMP’s, COI’s, etc* Ensure Contractors follow all billing guidelines* Sign off on work done* Create purchase orders and file by vendor. Fill out Credit card purchase sheet.* Log all purchases and file receiving paperwork.* Refine, manage and keep up to date Contractor COI Program.Safety Compliance:* Comply with OSHA Safety and all company, USDA, FDA regulations for food plants. This requires the understanding of HAACP and SSOP plans and the ability to comply with these regulations.* Ensure shop cleanliness and organizationContinuous Improvement:* Suggest and implement process improvements to increase machinery efficiency and reduce downtime.* Support project coordination across new equipment installations, upgrades, and special initiatives.* Generate monthly reports regarding Maintain X performance (group & individual) distribute to Manager and Plant Manager.* Develop a standard filing program for all hard copies of Equipment operating & parts Manuals and file all existing and future paperwork within this system.* Modernize the operations of maintenanceInventory Management: * Responsible for proactive inventory control and management* Monitor spare parts inventory and collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required components.* Catalog and log all spare parts into Maintain X, sticker and organize all parts. Work with team to set min/max quantities and ensure these quantities are being held to.Other responsibilities may be assigned as the role evolves with our growing organization.## Qualifications***Job Safety Requirements:***Safety is our top priority. Accountabilities include but are not limited to:* Ensuring unsafe acts or conditions are reported promptly for corrective action.* Empowered to stop a task if there are safety concerns so that corrective action can be taken.* Auditing your processes and environment.* Engaged with the safety committee to continuously improve our plant safety performance.***Job Requirements:**** Required – Associates or higher education in Business Management or other similar discipline.* 3 to 5 year of experience in a fast paced production environment – food experience is preferred.* Familiarity with CMMS systems (Maintain X experience preferred)* Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.* Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, and outlook.* Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.* Familiarity with store rooms / hardware.* Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.* Must be physically fit and able to work on feet most of the day. Capable of lifting 50 pounds repetitively.* Attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.* Good communication skills to interact with other team members and management.* Ability to independently examine information and/or situations, evaluates potential impact, options and makes recommendations.
