Urs Midwest Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support our maintenance division by keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. You will manage emergency road repairs for our professional car haulers and communicate with mechanics to minimize downtime.

The role requires coordinating with drivers, terminals, and mechanics, entering data into the corporate system, and maintaining detailed repair records to aid upcoming shifts. A strong focus on safety and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma GED or graduation from trade/technical school preferred.
• Minimum one year experience working on heavy-duty trucks or coordinating fleet repairs is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate breakdown and repair issues to mechanics to reduce downtime.
• Arrange emergency maintenance service and follow up to ensure paperwork is received.
• Enter all pertinent data into corporate selected program.
• Follow up with terminal to advise of breakdown and provide data for recovery of freight.
• Aid drivers to coordinate local transportation and lodging.
• Accurately document details of breakdowns and repair initiatives for the next shift.
