Job summary

Northern Pines Mental Health Center seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role covers six-counties, coordinating contracts and workers for facility maintenance, and performing routine tasks across all sites.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventative maintenance scheduling, and responding to maintenance requests. Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least one year of maintenance experience, and a valid MN driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• One year of applicable maintenance experience.
• Valid MN Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contracts and contracted workers for facility maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks across multiple facilities.
• Draft and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Visit facilities for inspections and address findings.
• Monitor maintenance inbox and respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with basic repairs and relocations as needed.

This full-time position will work throughout our six- county service area. The primary purpose of the Maintenance Coordinator position is to complete general maintenance tasks and coordinate contracts and contracted maintenance workers for all Northern Pines facilities. Standard shifts include daytime, weekday hours.Essential Functions include various maintenance duties including but not limited to:Coordinate contracts and contracted workers as requested regarding all aspects of facility maintenance including but not limited to:Snow removalExternal landscaping and groundskeepingOffice cleaningHVACPlumbingServe as point of contact for all facility-related contractorsMaintain familiarity with all facilities in order to answer question for contractorsSource contractors (contact, collect bids, etc.) as needed for special projects or new servicesObtaining appropriate documentation from vendors and contractors including but not limited to: proof of insurance, tax documentsRegularly visit all facilities and complete routine maintenance inspections on all Northern Pines facilities and address findings as neededDraft and implement preventative maintenance schedules for buildings and equipmentMonitor the Central Maintenance inbox. Receive and respond to general maintenance request from the entire agency in a timely mannerComplete general maintenance tasks as needed. Tasks may include but are not limited to:Assembling or repairing office furnitureRelocating large office itemsCleaning guttersShovel and/ or salt sidewalksChange furnace filtersChange water filtersChange light bulbsCheck sump pumpsPaint touch upRepair doors and fixturesEnsure all facilities are up to date on applicable building codesQualifications include:High School Diploma or equivalent educationOne year of applicable maintenance experienceValid MN Driver’s LicensePhysical Requirements include:Ability to operate a motor vehicleAbility to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basisSitting and/ or standing for extended periods of timeAbility to bend/ reach/ stretch as neededAbility to use a variety of hand tools and power toolsMust be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spacesMust be able to complete work in a variety of weather conditionsCompensation & Benefits include:A starting wage range of: $20 - $24/ hourHealth, Dental, Disability and Life insurance with other additional voluntary options for spousal life, short term disability, accident, hospital indemnity and critical illness plansHealth Savings account with employer contribution401K with employer matchGenerous paid time off (1st - 3rd year, full-time employees earn 19 days/152 hours per year.
