Job summary

Kerry's Byesville, OH plant seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running safely and efficiently. You’ll troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, read schematics, and partner with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency; related trades preferred.
• 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably chemical or beverage.
• Proficient in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics; read schematics.
• Practiced in safe work habits; self-starter with quality focus.
• Basic computer skills; SAP knowledge is helpful.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be a key player in keeping our production lines running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll work directly with modern manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues in real time, and help improve how our plant operates day to day.

Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to)

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime and keep operations moving
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Partner with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
• Follow and promote strong safety and quality standards at all times

This is a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where your technical skills matter, your ideas are heard, and your work has a visible impact every shift.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• High School diploma or equivalency required; Industrial maintenance degree, welding certification, industrial electrical certification, Associate degree in a related field or completion of a Trades/Technical School program preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally chemical or beverage manufacturing.
• Proficient in electrical, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Practiced in safe work habits.
• Team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done.
• Self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook). SAP knowledge is helpful.

Compensation Data The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $49.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
