Job summary

Wheels Up is seeking a Maintenance Controller in Chamblee, GA to manage maintenance events for Wheels Up Private Jets. You will monitor aircraft status, oversee repairs, and ensure timely return-to-service while coordinating with DOM and maintenance teams.

The role requires an A&P certificate and 3–5 years of hands-on Part 121/135/91 experience. Excellent communication with vendors and internal teams is essential, with a focus on regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Valid and current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' hands-on experience in Part 121, 135/91.

Responsibilities

  • Execute DOM-designated functions to ensure policy compliance.
  • Ensure out-of-service aircraft are repaired promptly.
  • Assign maintenance personnel and vendors and monitor repair status.
  • Create work packages for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance vendors to plan, execute, oversee, and document maintenance events.
  • Maintain aircraft records for compliance.
  • Ensure aircraft parts are obtained and shipped timely.

Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Controller, you are responsible forensuring thataircraftwithin the Wheels Up Private Jetsoperatedfleet aremaintainedin compliance with all regulatory requirements. Youare responsible formonitoringaircraft,initiating, and overseeing maintenance events to ensureaircraftare returned to service ina timelyand effective manner. In an executivecapacity, the Maintenance Controller supervises the maintenance and/or alteration of Wheels Up Private Jetsoperatedaircraft.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)


  • As the delegate of the aircraftcertificate holder’s Director of Maintenance (DOM), you will execute certain designated functions of the DOM’s office. Youare responsible forensuring compliance with all company policies as outlined in the WUPJ operating manual.

  • Ensure all out-of- service for maintenanceaircraftare repairedin a timely manner.

  • Assign maintenance personnel, including vendors, in the correct performance of aircraft repairs and overseeing repair efforts as well as maintaining communication on repair status.

  • Create work packages for scheduled, unscheduled, and Line Maintenance.

  • Coordinate with maintenance vendors to plan, execute, oversee, and document maintenance events.

  • Ensure all departments affected by a groundedaircraftare aware of the status of theaircraft.

  • Review aircraftrecords and tracking to ensure compliance with maintenance programs.

  • Work harmoniously with Maintenance Leadership, Flight Operations, maintenance vendors, and all operational entities and personnel.

  • Ensure proper documentation of the work performed on aircraftprior to approval of theaircraftfor return-to-service.

  • Ensure required aircraftparts are obtained and shippedin a timely manner.


Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements


  • Valid and current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' relevant hands‑on experience in Part 121, 135/91


The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)


  • Formal training (Flight Safety Maintenance initial) in Phenom 300, Challenger 300/350 preferred

  • 4+ years combined experience in inspection, maintenance or servicing of corporate type aircraft preferred

  • Direct experience working on airframes like: Citation XL, Citation X, Beechcraft King Air, Hawker Beechcraft 400XP, Phenom 300, or Challenger 350 preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for the noted aircraft models and systems.


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Salary Range & Benefits

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The compensation for this role ranges from $84,000/Yr. to $105,000/Yr., depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
