Job summary

Jetvia seeks a Maintenance Controller to keep our fleet airworthy and available. You’ll be the front line for flight crews, manage discrepancies, and assist the Director of Maintenance with repairs and dispatch.

Qualifications

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience with maintenance control experience.
• Excellent communication skills—especially in high-pressure situations.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability.
• Availability for flexible scheduling and on-call rotation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Discrepancy Management: Receive, log, and track all incoming aircraft discrepancies from pilots and crews; prioritize and distribute discrepancies; ensure timely updates and closure documentation for squawks and MELs.
• Operational Coordination: Assist the Director of Maintenance in planning maintenance actions and scheduling aircraft downtime; support field maintenance efforts including AOG logistics and vendor coordination; communicate clearly with flight crews to troubleshoot issues; authorize return to service prior to flight and ensure all RTS paperwork is compliant.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records in maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Flightdocs, etc.); update aircraft status boards; work with QA and DOM to support regulatory compliance.

The Role

The Maintenance Controller is the nerve centre of Jetvia’s technical operations—playing a critical role in maintaining the airworthiness and availability of our fleet. This person is the front line of support for flight crews, the hub of all discrepancy tracking, and the key assistant to the Director of Maintenance in organizing and dispatching repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Discrepancy Management
  • Receive, log, and track all incoming aircraft discrepancies from pilots and crews
  • Prioritize and distribute discrepancies to appropriate maintenance personnel
  • Ensure timely updates and closure documentation for squawks and MELs
• Operational Coordination
  • Assist the DOM in planning maintenance actions and scheduling aircraft downtime
  • Support field maintenance efforts, including AOG logistics and vendor coordination
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with flight crews to troubleshoot on-road issues
  • Authorize aircraft for return to service prior to flight. Review all RTS paperwork and ensure all maintenance is properly documented IAW all company and federal regulations.
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate records in the maintenance tracking system (CAMP, Flightdocs, or equivalent)
  • Ensure timely updates to aircraft status boards and reporting tools
  • Work closely with QA and DOM to support regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Preferred

• Aircraft maintenance experience with maintenance control experience in Part 135 and/or 121 preferred.
• Learjet 60 experience.

This position is salaried, with the expectation to be on call to answer urgent situations.
