Job summary

ABX Air, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Maintenance Control to lead the Maintenance Control Department, ensuring high dispatch reliability and system integrity across ABX aircraft.

The role coordinates with maintenance executives for reporting and incident procedures, and requires travel. Ideal candidates hold an A&P license, a High School Diploma/GED, eight years in heavy transport aircraft maintenance with at least two years as a maintenance controller or supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• A & P license.
• Eight years experience in heavy transport aircraft maintenance, incl. 2 years as maintenance controller or supervisor.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ABX network, Word, Excel, Focus.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and ABX Maintenance Control procedures.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the maintenance/engineering division over all out-of-service aircraft and maintenance irregularities.
• Notify maintenance executive staff and prepare reports for irregularities/accidents/incidents.
• Authorize deferral of inoperative equipment per FAA MEL/CDL.
• Ensure airworthiness and safe operation of ABX aircraft systemwide.
