Job Summary

Enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency of plant equipment at company facilities by blending technical maintenance skills with process improvement initiatives. Execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot recurring equipment issues, collaborate with operators and maintenance teams to drive floor-level improvements, and implement data-driven solutions to reduce downtime and boost productivity.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Lead SugarCreek Performance System implementation and coach execution at the site, achieving annual savings and performance goals.
  2. Oversee installation and participate in transfers of new product lines from other plants, coordinating efforts across departments to ensure seamless transitions while maintaining product quality.
  3. Utilize Current Downtime Software Ignition to identify operational gaps and implement improvements.
  4. Identify training opportunities to improve downtime efficiency across departments such as Sanitation, Production, and Maintenance.
  5. Assess plant equipment that may require rebuilding to meet production needs.
  6. Use teaching tools to help departments identify problem areas and improvement opportunities.
  7. Guide resources and initiatives towards high-impact projects in the most effective sequence.
  8. Analyze data to identify structural gaps and develop long-term solutions.
  9. Support root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving initiatives.
  10. Lead or coordinate Continuous Improvement meetings for assigned departments.
  11. Monitor performance metrics to enhance throughput efficiency.
  12. Provide technical support to Maintenance Technicians as needed.
  13. Collaborate with Plant Management to foster a positive, high-energy work environment focused on continuous improvement and achieving production goals.
  14. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  15. Support safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives and policies.
  16. Adhere to SugarCreek safety rules and procedures.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

No unusual physical requirements; typical for electrical maintenance roles, including mostly sitting with some standing or walking. Light physical activity such as stairs or moving items under 50 lbs may be required. Some travel between plants may be necessary.

Work Environment

Work is primarily indoors within manufacturing facilities near heavy machinery. Safety gear such as hard hats, hairnets, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and protective coats are mandatory. Some tasks may be performed outdoors. Travel to other locations is expected.
