Job Details

Position: Maintenance/Construction Technician II/PT

Location: Buncombe County, Black Mountain Neuro Medical Treatment Center

Duration: 3 months, part-time, approximately 29 hours/week

Pay: $15.00/hour (based on education and experience)

Note: No benefits such as leave, medical insurance, or retirement are provided for these temporary positions.

Job Description

These positions involve working with the construction crew to repair and construct components necessary for maintaining a facility of approximately 224,000 sq ft. Responsibilities include roofing, cabinetry, carpentry, masonry, drywall installation, building partitions, hanging doors and windows, and other tasks to improve the living environment for residents.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience in construction trades
  • Good or corrected eyesight
  • Ability to read and write legibly
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, etc., and lift heavy objects
Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements

Possibly current EPA certification as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician, as required by federal regulations.
