Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Maintenance and Construction Technician in the United States to construct, remove, and maintain gas distribution facilities and equipment, including pipe, gauges, and valves. You will plan jobs, dispatch field crews, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, working outdoors, and coordinating with multiple teams; you will also review field tickets, invoices, and time reports to verify charges and keep repair histories up to date.

As a Maintenance and Construction Technician, you will be responsible for constructing, removing and maintaining gas distribution facilities and equipment, including pipe, gauges and valves.

What You’ll Do

• Organizes and plans out job(s). As part of planning process, determines materials and equipment necessary for job and arrange for procurement of the materials and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
• Dispatches field crews engaged in the construction, maintenance and emergency restoration of gas service.
• Performs maintenance work (equipment operator, etc.) at job site and provides work direction to other company personnel and contract personnel at job site, particularly in respect to safety procedures and work to be done that day.
• Inspects the work of company and contract personnel to ensure compliance with company standards, government regulations, etc.
• Maintains work order status log summaries/database and provides equipment/pipeline repair histories.
• Performs various administrative duties (i.e. review of field work tickets and invoices for accuracy and to ensure justification; collection/verification of time reports to verify contractor charges; completion of property damage reports, pipeline repair reports, etc.).
• Communicates and interacts with co-workers, producers, property owners, tenants, manufacturer’s representatives and suppliers as well as other employees and members of the public in a professional manner.
• Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Understands equipment and repair manuals.
• Examines/analyzes equipment for defects.

What You’ll Bring - Required

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willing and able to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
• To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time.
• To raise/ lift up to and transport loads up to 75 pounds.
• To push and pull forces up to 100 pounds.
• To walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain.

• To work overtime.

What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred

• 2 or more years of pipeline repair and maintenance.
• 5 years or more experience in Maintenance and Construction preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Working knowledge and understanding of plant maintenance.
• Possession of, or the willingness and ability to obtain, a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $70,200 – $114,400.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
