Position Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance/Construction Supervisor I to serve as a Heating Plant Supervisor at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) in the Department of Plant Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations, maintenance, and repairs of the CRH Annex Steam Plant, two Hot Water Boiler plants, and domestic hot water equipment at two campuses.
  • Lead the Plumbing Department in the absence of the Plumbing Supervisor.
  • Plan, supervise, and direct operations of the heating plants.
  • Maintain and monitor domestic water heaters.
  • Ensure completion and documentation of preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee chemical test data submissions and order chemicals, materials, and parts.
  • Manage maintenance of automatic controls on boilers and recommend new equipment or modifications.
  • Prepare and submit energy and boiler efficiency reports monthly.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts and replacements.
  • Assist the Plumbing Department as needed and act as a lead during absences.
Work Schedule and Benefits

The standard work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility required for hospital needs. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance, retirement, paid leave, and more. The role is designated Mandatory, requiring reporting or staying over during adverse weather conditions.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of steam and hot water generating systems.

  • Valid NC driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • EPA certification as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician (if applicable).
