Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) seeks an on-site maintenance professional in Annapolis Junction, MD to perform maintenance on new construction projects, escort subcontractors, repair system furniture components, and document work and materials. The role requires documenting issues and maintaining awareness of safety and site standards.

Responsibilities include installing floor protection, maintaining IAQ, and operating tools and vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of journeyman-level jobsite experience.
• Ability to complete and maintain customer-specific escort.
• Professional, courteous interaction with diverse people.
• Mature judgment; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic mathematical functions knowledge.
• General knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screening.
• Ability to obtain/maintain required clearance.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and jobsite cleanup on new construction projects; escorts subcontractors and repairs system furniture components.

• Maintains project IAQ by replacing walk-off mats and filters; vacuums sites.
• Uses hand tools, portable power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Plans, organizes work and meets deadlines; handles multiple tasks daily.
• Responds to emergency site maintenance as required.
• Inspects and diagnoses problems for corrective repairs.
• Performs on-call and preventive maintenance duties.
• Performs stock inventories and prepares material requisitions.
• Operates Government/Defense Base Services vehicles and equipment.
• Performs lower classified duties like file maintenance and workspace cleanup.
• Supports other trades and departments as needed.
• Adheres to safety and SOPs; follows ADA accommodations policies.
• Ability to work alternate shifts.

Position Location

This position is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Job Overview

This position will require workers to perform maintenance duties and jobsite cleanup on new construction projects as necessary. In addition, job duties will also include escorting subcontractors and repair/replace system furniture components. Required to document work completed, issues relegated to work activity and detail material list needed.

Pay Rate: $34.81/hourly

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties

• Performs maintenance and jobsite cleanup on new construction projects as necessary. In addition, job duties will also include escorting subcontractors and repair/replace system furniture components.
• Installs and maintains floor protection and dust enclosures as needed.
• Maintains project IAQ by replacing walk-off mats and filters as needed. Vacuums the jobsites as needed.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
• Plans, organizes work and meets all deadlines. Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day.
• Respond to emergency site maintenance as required.
• Inspects and diagnoses problems to determine corrective repairs.
• Perform on call and preventive maintenance duties as necessary.
• Performs periodic stock inventories and prepares material requisitions for replacement items as required.
• Operates Government or Defense Base Services owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
• Performs various lower classified duties such as (but not limited to) file maintenance, workspace cleanup, maintain warehouse space and telephone answering as required.
• Assists and supports other trade groups and/or department staff in daily operations as needed or directed.
• Adheres to the established Chugach safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work alternate shifts as required.
• Performs a wide range of construction activities and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum of (2) years of jobsite experience at the Journeyman level.
• Ability to complete and maintain Customer-specific escort.
• Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
• Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal.
• Familiarity with basic mathematical functions is required.
• General knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• U.S. citizen.
