Job Description Summary

The Maintenance & Calibration Technician performs all maintenance functions on production and facilities equipment and calibration activities on process/facilities equipment.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Supply Chain professionals to help us reach our ambitious goals.

Location: Onsite

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Perform a wide range of maintenance repair activities on production equipment, central utilities systems, lab equipment, and building management systems.
  2. Troubleshoot problems in the event of instrument failure and recommend parts needed for effective repair.
  3. Assist manufacturing and facilities personnel in troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis on process and utility equipment to improve reliability.
  4. Ensure good workmanship with minimal delay; support the safe and effective operation of the plant and facility.
  5. Perform routine work independently; follow general instructions for new lines of work or special assignments.
  6. Initiate and participate in documented troubleshooting studies on equipment to identify opportunities for improvements.
  7. Program changes to repair or optimize equipment.
  8. Perform repairs to restore equipment to service.
  9. Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule.
  10. Thoroughly complete and document equipment work orders in the system.
  11. Provide support for radiation safety programs, including calibration and functionality of all radiation detection equipment.
  12. Work with procurement to ensure availability of spare parts and equipment for maintenance and repairs.
  13. Support investigations/deviations from an engineering/maintenance perspective and help with data for timely closure of deviations and CAPAs; adhere to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E).
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Please note: Multiple positions are available with different focus areas — Instrumentation, Electrical, and Facilities/Utilities. This position may involve shift work, including nights and weekends, as required.

The pay range at start of employment is expected to be between $69,300 and $103,900 per year, with variations depending on factors like experience, location, and market conditions. The total compensation may include bonuses, stock units, and other benefits, including health, financial, and paid time off benefits. Details will be provided upon offer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate Degree with 5+ years of hands-on plant maintenance experience in a regulated facility, or 6-8 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to adhere to procedures, cGMPs, company policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DEA, FDA, etc.).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of control system programming, CMMS systems, and architecture.
  • Willingness to work in clean room environments.
  • Familiarity with PLC control systems and instrumentation bus technologies.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Good understanding of GMPs, preferably with pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
