Job summary

Packaging-Corporation-of-America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic plant systems, ensuring reliability and uptime.

The role works in a production environment with a team to perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns. Uniforms provided, safety equipment stipends, and on-the-job training to advance skills and pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Technical degree in mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.
• Must be able to work overtime as scheduled.

Job description

Responsibilities

This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer breakdown calls in a Production Environment.

All Maintenance Technician positions are multiskilled and training is provided to develop these skills.

Basic Qualifications

2+ Years’ experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery – both mechanical and electrical.

A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.

Must be able to work all overtime as scheduled.

Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
